An Incremental New Years Game Jam 2024 Submission
Do you like cat collecting games or just collection games in general? Do you think you run out of bag space, dont know what to do with all the old excess collection you find in these games? Well I'm trying to give a solution in "Incrementally Dense Kittens". Not only can these collected cats fight for you in battle, but you can use the hydraulic press as it transforms your surplus cats into more compacted, more cute cats. Get more cat per cat (Thats the official unit of measurement)!
Current Features:
- 13 Unlock-able eggs (48 Total Collectable Cats)
- 7 Different worlds of combat (spanning 23 enemies to encounter)
- 9 Pressure based upgrades (Gain perk points based on uniquely acquired cats)

Once you have Unstoppable Pressure, you can just buy one cat, pressurize them, and repeat to get arbitrarily strong cats.
Yep! I put in the minimum of 5 cats so that you would atleast have to buy 1, but do you think I should remove this? Seems a lot of people have figured it out
I'd make it so the three you keep don't count towards whatever bonus you're getting. Or make it entirely based on how many kinds of cats you have, so keeping three doesn't make much of a difference.
Yep! In a patch that went out this morning (that also added 20 extra cats) i made them not count towards the hydraulic press rewards

Cute, the game screen just blanked, and shows nothing... All I did was buy a 2nd weapon cat!
gota reload and hope it saved (only fix i know) all so theres a chanch of data reset
I’m so sorry! I’ll try to investigate the bug and get out a patch as soon as possible. Only downside is patching the game sometimes just destroys saves, but I’m hoping to fix as many of those as possible <3
Thats zero issue right now, as the game is pretty quick to play through.
Fair Fair, I cant post it till post voting section of the Jam (so after tomorrow no updates for 2 weeks), but I'm hoping after that I can push out another layer and extend it a little more. I did add 20 new cats (5 new eggs) in a patch this morning so hoping that adds a little bit, but I get that when you get accelerated in the end it's still not too bad. Thanks for playing the game regardless <3
Why is it showing 1 cat equipped, when zero cats are equipped?
its a bug were you equipped a emty space that is now filled you gota rest data (only fix i know)
I’m so sorry about that one! You should be able to unequip the empty slot, will be fixing it in a soon patch

First of all, thanks so much to everyone that played!
Second of all, I apologize beforehand because with how saves work in these game there is a good chance the autosaver wont work bringing to a new version. I apologize greatly for this, but the game is still in development mode so I hope you stay with me as I think the game is way better to play then the previous version. Infact I tested the previous version versus now before the update and couldnt play without the QoL introduced haha.
Features added:
- Sort Cat Inventory
- Reset to 0 worlds unlocked when hydraullic reset
- Double click to equip/unequip
- Replace Weakest cat when equipping with no slots
- Boost damage proportionally upgrade, replaces stellar cat upgrade
- Finish game by collecting all of the cats
- Keep 3 cats not always keeping the right cats fixed
- Fix up endgame cat eggs (weapon / not a cat are swapped)
- Active Egg Autobuyer not being set right / overbuying
i have 4 cats all with over 3k power now and attack instantly i am on stage 146

Dang, not something I've seen before. Thanks for playing my game and getting that far though <3 any reasonable guess as to why or at what stage it broke (Like right after a hydraulic press?) You should be reset after going below 0 and the only way I've seen negative is if you're below 0 and have no cats equipped. Still I'll investigate it and hopefully patch it tonight <3
Had a cat over 2k. Figured out that eventually you have enough to press right after a press, when you bought two basic eggs.
The numbers just keep going up and up and up... Though the only thing you can do then, is to just keep breaking the game more and more!
Thanks! And yeah that’s currently the endgame exploit I found, I want to find a better formula for the press honestly (or the other option is removing the strongest saved cats from being used in the calculation, but idk if that’ll give too weak of cats). Thanks for playing <3
hey there! super cool game, its just that when looking at the cats' images on the eggs, with all the black cats it's way harder to see if you've got that cat or not. maybe a different color text for the percentage or something? thank you!
Thanks for the feedback! 100% agree especially for the void cats, I have twin black cats in real life I call the voidlings and so in most drawings I make them pitch black, but I'll change the colors up a bit <3
